CommentI was working on keeping it out of foreclosure.
I tried to make a payment to keep it out of foreclosure, the fine stupid people at HomEq wouldn't take it.
I had over $3000.00 to make payment, but they wouldn't take less then $5000.00.
I told them that I didn't have that, but I did have a buyer offering me full asking price.
But they said that it wouldn't matter they were foreclosing.
Long story short. They foreclosed and sold the house for $70,000.00 less then I owed.
If they would have just worked with me, the house would have been sold and they would have gotten all of the money that they were owe.
And my actual mortgage company, had no idea that HomEq was not willing to work with me. They were pretty pissed when I showed them the records of my calls to try to keep the house out of foreclosure.
I pity anyone who has to deal with them.
So the problem isn't always the mortgage companies, the problems lie with the Servicing Companies.
If anyone is having issues with their mortgage, I suggest that they talk with their mortgage holder, NOT the servicing company!
