Won't change name on Ins. Policy

HomeQ placed Insurance in my late wife's name. I had to file two claims, and they had the Insurance Company to write the checks in their name and hers.I think it would be illegal to put Insurance in a dead persons name.I am paying for something I can't use.They say I need to open her estate, but she has no estate.We lost everything in Hurricane Katrina.I need to fix my house. They take my money every month no problem, but won't put the Insurance i my name.They won't let me talk to their legal dept.
